Conquer a total elevation gain of approximately 2300 meters and feel the satisfaction of crossing the finish line at the NWR Gross Barmen Resort.

Be the first African rider (male or female) to win the Khomas100 and claim the prestigious title of African Continental Champion. Namibians will battle it out for Namibia’s National Champion. Plus, you could earn a spot at the next UCI World Champs.

Khomas100 half or short distance for all

The half distance route is perfect for cyclists seeking a thrilling adventure without the full  commitment. Experience the same stunning Namibian scenery as the longer distances. Top contenders will receive fantastic prize hampers courtesy of our partners.

The short distance Khomas100 is the ideal distance for a fun and scenic ride. Enjoy a manageable course perfect for all skill levels. The short distance route offers a group start, allowing you to experience the camaraderie of the Khomas100 alongside fellow riders.

When and where does the Khomas100 race start?

The race starts at different times depending on the distance:

Full distance: Starts from 7:00 at CYMOT, Kleine Kuppe.

Half distance: Group start at 8:00 at Gross Barmen Entrance.

Short distance: Group start at 8:30 at Gross Barmen Entrance.

Race briefings will be at least 15 minutes before each race starts.

What is the Khomas100 route like and do I need a specific bike?

The full distance route is approximately 2300m elevation gain, with a mix of flat and hilly terrain.

Gravel bikes are ideal, but modifications to your mountain bike are allowed. Please contact racedirector@khomas.com.na for more info.

Mountain bikes and E-bikes are also welcome.

Road bikes are not allowed.

A GPS device is mandatory to navigate the route. Route files can be viewed here under the Routes tab.

What are the water points and cut-off times for Khomas100?

There are six water points along the route.

Full distance cut off: If you’re not at water point 5 (131km) by 15:00 the sweeper car will pick you up. So you have to ride faster that 16km/h.

Half distance cut off at 14:00.
Short distance cut off at 12:30.

When is prize giving and what are the podium prizes?

There is over N$250 000 in prize money for the full distance riders, with separate podiums for men and women in each UCI age group.
