The race starts at different times depending on the distance:

143km: Starts in batches between 6:00 and 6:15 at Tony Rust Race Track.

84km: Group start at 8:00 at Gross Barman Entrance.

44km: Group start at 8:40 at Gross Barman Entrance.

Race briefings will be at least 15 minutes before each race starts.

The route is 143km and approximately 2000m elevation gain, with a mix of flat and hilly terrain.

Gravel bikes are ideal, but modifications to your mountain bike are allowed. Please contact racedirector@khomas.com.na for more info.

Mountain bikes and E-bikes are also welcome.

Road bikes are not allowed.

A GPS device is mandatory to navigate the route. Route files can be viewed here under the Routes tab.

There are five water points along the route.

Cut-off enforced at 15km/h at selected water points.

Strict cut-off at water point 2 (10:00) and 5 (14:00). Subject to change.

There is over N$150 000 in prize money for the 143km riders, with separate podiums for men and women in each category.

No cash prizes for E-bikes, 84km or 44km riders.

84km winners will receive vouchers from NWR.

Cycletec is offering a FREE shuttle service running every two hours from the NWR Gross Barmen Resort starting at 14:00. Spots are limited (only 20 per shuttle including bikes), so reserve yours in advance with Frank on frank@cycletec.com.na. The shuttle will drop you off at Arebbusch, Windhoek..
