The 2026 Hollard Grand Prix Series is shifting gears as the mountain bike events drawed to a close and attention turns to Namibia’s highly anticipated gravel racing season. With entries now officially open for both the Khomas 100 and the N/a’an ku sê Gravel Challenge, riders can look forward to an exciting and competitive series that will attract some of the best talent from across Namibia and Africa.
National Championships and African Championships Now Split
One of the biggest changes for 2026 is that the Namibian Gravel National Championship and the African Gravel Championship will no longer be held at the same event.
The Namibian Gravel National Championship will have its own dedicated race as part of the Hollard Grand Prix Series. The championship title will be contested at the N/a’an ku sê Gravel Challenge and National Championships, taking place on 25 July 2026 at N/a’an ku sê.
This change gives Namibia’s top gravel riders a dedicated championship event where they can compete for national honours and the coveted national champion jersey.
N/a’an ku sê Gravel Challenge and National Championships
Set against the stunning landscapes surrounding N/a’an ku sê, the event promises a challenging and rewarding race experience for riders of all levels.

Khomas 100 Stays the African Gravel Championship
The Khomas 100 will keep its role in 2026 as the CAC African Gravel Championship and a UCI-sanctioned event.
This race is deemed to be one of the most significant gravel cycling events on the African calendar, attracting elite riders from across the continent who will battle for the prestigious title of African Gravel Champion.
For age-group riders, the stakes are equally high. The event offers competitors the opportunity to earn qualification spots for the UCI Gravel World Championships, providing a pathway to compete on the world stage against the best gravel cyclists internationally.
A Must-Ride Series for 2026
With the National Championship and African Championship now hosted as separate events, riders have the unique opportunity to compete for both honours during the 2026 Hollard Grand Prix Series.
Whether your goal is to race for a national title, challenge Africa’s best riders, earn a UCI qualification spot, or simply experience two of Namibia’s premier gravel races, both events deserve a place on your racing calendar.
