Wow, we have 354 riders in our inaugural Khomas100 Namibian National Gravel Champs. So many people and sponsors have pulled out all the stops to showcase this beautiful route and we will be in their debt for a long time.

Firstly a massive shout out to our sponsors who stepped up in so many ways. Hollard we salute you for believing in the concept.

Back to logistics. Don’t forget, registration is 24 October 2024 from 16:00 to 18h:00 at CYMOT Hilltop. There is more than enough parking underground and at the Grove. Race briefing will be at 18:00 sharp and will be live-streamed on our Instagram page @khomas100. There will also be a lucky draw for a beautiful Trek Gravel bike valued at N$50 000, sponsored by Mannies Bike Mecca.

A few important rules just as a reminder:

NO support cars for any rider will be allowed on the route for any of the distances. That keeps the race safe and dust free. There are more than enough water points, every 20km or so. Please ask your supporters to wait at the finish at Gross Barmen. There will be loads to do for them. Collect their wrist bands for free entry at registration. Please ensure you have read the Rider Guide available on khomas100.com.na. Most of your questions will be answered there.

DON’T FORGET YOUR PERMANENT TIMING TAG FOR THOSE WHO HAVE!!

143km route:

Gates will open at 5:00 at Tony Rust Race Track. Please enter on the left hand side and park on the western side of the track. There will be coffee, rusks and toasted sandwiches for sale. There are more than enough ablutions on site. NO CARS allowed on the track – only riders. Once you enter the start chute, please remain inside. The race will start with a neutral lap behind a race car. Do not overlap the car. The race will then exit the track – be careful as there maybe a little bit of a bottleneck! The commissionaire will be ahead at that time. Once you turn LEFT onto the Daan Viljoen road the race will start!

The Indongo Toyota fleet of back-up cars and the ambulances will ensure all riders are safe the whole route. Watch our for the signs where you have to turn and look out for water points – they promise to be an oasis!
